What is Crack The Geode?

Crack The Geode is a free online game about the thrill of discovery. You buy mystery geodes and rough stones without knowing what is inside, crack them open, and reveal the gems hidden within — jade, amethyst, crystal and gold veins all add value, while cracks and impurities take it away. Every stone is procedurally generated, so no two runs are ever the same.

Why we made it

We love the satisfying moment of opening something and not knowing what you will get — the same feeling as cracking a real geode, opening a loot box, or panning for gold. We wanted to capture that moment in a quick, relaxing browser game that anyone can play instantly, on phone or desktop, with nothing to install.

Is it gambling?

No. Crack The Geode is a simulation for entertainment only. The coins in the game have no real-world value, there is nothing to buy, and there is no way to win or lose real money. It is the feeling of treasure hunting without any of the risk.
